....of The Truth.
This is a biography of a DCI Clive Driscoll. It was first published last year.
Driscoll is the policeman that eventually convicted the murderers of Stephen Lawrence.
I would recommend it to one and all one for a good read and two for an insight into the Met Police and the the influences of those from on high especially in the area of child abuse.
In other words folks .....read it. You may not believe all that is said but that is a judgement you have to make.

I don't know the truth about this but instinctively my sympathies lie with DCI Driscoll. On the other hand the Chief Constable was on telly last night to put the case for the Force. He said Driscoll broke all the rules but arrived at the right result. Almost all of his evidence was declared inadmissable. The question of course is would the Force have ever found the killer without Driscoll. I suspect not.

Who would think that coppers would fabricate evidence? Or commit major crimes?
Ours have ranged from murder down, even a state commissioner went to gaol.

Well how the hell did they get a conviction??
To me your Chief Constable has a touch of the sour grapes. What CC was it Hooky. Give us a name and I will investigate. I'm already placing bets with myself that he was a graduate entrant and never done a day's policing in his life.

I must apologise. He had done one or two day's as a plod but there ain't much you can find out about him. I wonder if he is a Mason?
You always get the same type of people whether in the Forces or the Police even the Civil Service come to that and Ministers do not love each other and do nothing for the greater good only themselves. With forces it's the General or Admiral or RAF chap who has retired who then bleeds all over the place instead of telling it like it is when he has the power to do something like resign in disgust. With the police it's the same and with an eye on the pension.
