Announced this week, violence against hospital staff will no longer be tolerated? When was it 'ever' acceptable to be punched and kicked by drunks and the mentally ill while treating their self inflicted injuries?
Firemen, paramedics and ambulance staff have also had to be added to the endangered list due to attacks by feral children and drug addicts with nothing better to do.
I eagerly look forward to the next thug to smash a nurse in the face or throw a housebrick at a fireman to get his just desserts but wont hold my breath till they do.

In the olden days a drunk was banged up in a cell until the morning, straight up before the beak and fined. Now they're all victims on the grounds that despite the fact that they got themselves drink and incapable, once there they are no longer responsible. It doesn't apply to rapists though. Women can cry rape after having sex whilst pissed on account of being incapable but men can't.

Our local buses are now fitted with a sign at the entrance declaring, "Violence against transport staff is an offence."
Yes, like it is against the passengers.

I watched a video this afternoon of a case where the prosecutor withheld evidence that would show the accused was innocent.
The man in the dock did 26 years imprisonment before the truth came to light. The prosecutor was then convicted, fined $500 and sentenced to ten days gaol but was released after five - for good behaviour?
