New novel by Michel Houellebecq should be thought provoking.

Let's hope that the events occurring in Paris today have nothing to do with Islam either.
I'm sorry for all the people who suffer under dictators and religious zealots but we have to stop them coming into our countries. If it means draconian laws then so be it. Yes their are amongst those people fleeing those dictators and zealots good people who want to make a better life but their are also people who wish us nothing but ill and sadly they get protected by the others.

It was to do with Islam. From what little we have seen and the witness statements, they looked like well trained terrorists and wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that are returnees from Syria or Iraq.
I now once again wait to hear the outcry from the "moderate Muslim".

I have some limited sympathy.
I am all in favour of providing refuge for those in danger but that does not include letting them remove my culture.
I'll provide a bed and a feed for those who have had their home destroyed in a bushfire but when they start rearranging the furniture and taking down my family photos to put up their deities, their welcome is closed.

Very apposite GG. I think that's how people all over Europe are feeling tonight.
